Our house is centrally located in the Kitsilano neighborhood of Vancouver. We are located within 2 blocks of the 99 express bus. We are about a mile from the beach, less than a block from a great park, and walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Our house is recently renovated. It is a heritage style house with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (with a steam shower and clawfoot tub). It is very bright with many windows and skylights. There is a cozy library and a big back porch. We have a dishwasher, and a washer and dryer. Mainly, I need someone who is able to take care of my high needs dogs. I have two 14 year old jack russell terriors. One dog is completely blind, though he can get around very well and can even play fetch (by smell). The other is aggressive towards other dogs and cannot be let off leash. He has to take medication and is on a special diet for bladder stones. Despite all of this, they are both quite energetic. I would ideally like to find someone who is active and able to handle these two. We have a fully fenced back yard, and would prefer for the dogs to have access to the yard as much as possible. We also would prefer not to leave our dogs at home alone all day. We both work from home, and are home a majority of the time, and we would like to find a house sitter who will spend a lot of time at the house. We would like to find someone who is able to take the dogs on at least 2 walks a day, but are also open to hiring a dog walker if necessary. Other than taking care of the dogs, the only other responsibilities would be maybe watering the plants and bringing in the mail. We do have vegetable beds, but we can have a neighbor take care of those if you would rather. Of course, you can feel free to help yourself to any of the vegetables while you are house sitting. If anything at all goes wrong with the house (electrical, plumbing, roof etc.), we will have a number for you to call, and someone will take care of any house related issues for you.
