Tess the Labrador is staying at home and needs a responsible, dog loving sitter to watch tellie with her by the fire at night. She also needs to be fed & walked daily.
We live on an island in the Clarence river, there is a nature reserve within walking distance offering good walking trails. Maclean, the Scottish town in Australia is a 15min drive away where you will find haggis as well as your daily bread & milk. Keep going another 15 minutes & you will discover the beautiful beaches of Yamba. Head off in the other direction to a country pub on the river bank in the village of Brushgrove.
The main house consists of two bedrooms, an office with broadband, & a studio with built in easel. All sitting on 5 park like acres with organic vege patch. There is also a five bay shed, complete with pool table. You will need your own transport to get around.
Please do apply if:
You are willing to do at least a cursory amount of gardening maintanance. At this time of year little will be required.
Treat Tess the labrador with love & respect & allow her to flop by the fire whenever she wants.
Respect my home leaving it clean, tidy & intact.
If something breaks, or you do damage you will inform me.
Your definition of organic does not include the use of roundup.
I have arrived home at various times in the past to find dirty dishes in cupboards, holes in the walls, broken windows, & a bathroom black with mould. The dog had been locked outside & or in the studio. To top it off once I returned to find the vege patch & orchard had been blanket sprayed with roundup... "its only salt you know". Another did nothing & the vege patch had weeds as tall as me. One sitter even managed to chop the leg off a garden table with the lawn mower, my mind still boggles in an attempt to figure out how he managed this amazing feat, I never got the chance to ask as he left without informing me. No single sitter is guilty of all of this, rather it has been a succession of sitters, if any of this sounds like you please do not apply.
