Hi We are looking for house / dogs sitters, for an immediate start.
Us: We are in our 60’s, just back from a holiday in Thailand and China. We did our first lap of Australia about 4 years ago and are ready for the next adventure. Jim has been working in IT until very recently, Sandra retired some years ago.
Our Location: We have an acreage property on the Southside of Brisbane Qld. With a fairly large, comfortable house with most modern conveniences including high speed broadband, cable TV, open fire, sauna and air-conditioning. There are views out to the border ranges and toward the Gold Coast The house is less than 1km from the local shops, 4 kms from a major shopping centre and equi-distant from Brisbane CBD and the Gold Coast. The bay-side suburbs are about 20 minutes away. The Gold Coast hinterland is a short drive away.`
The main responsibilities: We have two mature dogs Clancy and Matilda. Brother and Sister from the same litter. They will be 10 in September. Clancy had an operation on a rear leg last year and has some arthritis. Matilda needs to be separated from cane toads after dark in summer. Both dogs sleep in the garage and are generally fairly placid. They have trained us to feed and walk them around 3pm each day and to be brought inside as dark approaches. They generally go to bed after 8pm
We would also like someone to attend to the house and ensure that plants stay alive and although generally low-maintenance, keep things ticking for us. There is a ride-on mower for summer time fun. We could also discuss making one of our cars available.
The key factor is the wellbeing of our dogs.
Our Timetable: The Van is packed and ready to go. An immediate start is necessary. We have no fixed timetable or itinerary but expect to be absent around 3 months
