Hi, we are looking for reliable, trustworthy, responsible people to look after our house and pets. Absolutely must be non-smoker and no parties, drugs, or illegal activity. I ask that you treat my pets, property and home with respect.
We have 2 cats (Jessie, Nellie), 1 dog (Taz) and a fish. Taz needs to get to/from daycare 2x per week (20 minute drive). Daycare is pre-paid so all you have to do is drop him off and pick him up. If the house sitter needed to be away from the house overnight Taz can be boarded at this location as well (at sitter’s expense).
The cats are very self-sufficient and just need a bit of attention each day. Taz is an Australian cattle dog mix with lots of energy. The more exercise he gets the better. At daycare he gets to run around with other dogs all day and comes home exhausted. For everyone’s benefit additional walks, runs, or trips to the dog park are needed on non-daycare days to make sure he burns off the energy.
Taz needs to be kept away from the cats due to his herding instinct, but he and the cats each occupy their own floor of the house so this isn't hard. If Taz gets worked up he is apt to jump so I would not recommend small children.
Our home is located in Longmont, CO. Great location for exploring the Colorado front-range and Rocky Mountain National Park. Longmont has great access to everything the front-range has to offer. The house is on the end of a cul-de-sac in a quiet neighborhood. It is 2000 sqft home with 3 bedrooms. Supermarkets, restaurants, parks, and bike paths are within 1/2 mile but a car is strongly recommended.
