My husband and I are looking for a house and pet sitter from 1st April 2015 to 15 April This is over the Easter break and the first week and a half of the school holidays. We have a 3 year old chocolate Labrador (Bosco), a 7 year old Siamese/Himalayan cat (Suki), and a 4 year old Siamese cat (Castiel). They are all inside/outside animals. The cats have a cat door that they use. Bosco has a kennel outside but whenever we are home he is in the house. He sleeps inside at night. Bosco is very affectionate and just loves people. His routine is a morning walk and a doggy play date with a friend's dog 3 afternoons a week. However, we would be happy if he was walked occasionally, or everyday, whichever suits. Our pets are part of our family and are all very loved and we are really looking for someone that loves animals and is happy to have them inside with them.
We have a well maintained 3 bedroom house at East Maitland with rear lane access. Our pool is great in the hot months. We have foxtel and a big screen smart TV which is great for watching movies/sport/lifestyle shows.
East Maitland is about 30 minutes from Newcastle which has great beaches and 30 minutes to the Hunter Valley vineyards. We are a 5 minute drive to the heritage town of Morpeth. Our house is a 5 minute walk to the train station that can take you quickly into Newcastle. Maitland has some lovely restaurants, movie theatre and shopping. Maitland has everything you need but still maintains a nice rural/heritage amenity.
