We are looking for someone (or a couple) to look after our house and cat from 21Dec-16Jan (3.5weeks) in Elwood.
We love our apartment because of the combination of space and location, the fact that it has nice timber floors, wooden blinds and high ceilings in a great neighbourhood.
Because of it's double bricked build it stays cool for a long time, even on the rare 40+ days that occur in Melbourne summers. Though, if you feel too warm anyway, we've got you backed with a movable aircon unit.
The master bedroom has a large (1.90x210) double bed.
You have the complete apartment to yourself, including bedrooms, - living room with comfy couches, decent size TV, PlayStation3 (with Netflix access), Sonos speakers and Hue lights. - Sunroom, - Kitchen, - Bathroom, - a private courtyard at the back (with Weber BBQ, table, 4 normal chairs, and 2 relax chairs), - a private garden (with hammock) at the front. - unlimited wifi
Elwood is old enough to have history: with nice classic houses and apartments, a local bakery, butcher and barber. At the same time it is hip enough to have great coffee, nice restaurants shops and bars.
The Elsternwick trainstation is a minute walk (or 5 minutes by bus), and from there you're in the city within 20 minutes.
Alternatively, you can go for a nice stroll along the beach towards St Kilda, and take the 96 tram into the city from there.
Parking is free on our street, and most of the streets nearby, but you have to check the signs to pick the right spots, and will have to move your car during peak hours. We will provide a map to indicate the best places to park.
We have a very friendly and playful cat. We kindly ask you to give him food and water twice a day (food and instructions are provided), let him out in the morning, and in at night (he is very easy and smart enough to check regularly himself if you're home) and give a cuddle if you want to.
