This is an old house, built in 1905 that I bought 15 years ago for my sister. She has recently moved out. Now I have no need for the house and I would like to take the next few months to fix it up and put it on the real estate market for sale. It is very rundown. I would like someone to live in it while I get the needed work done, for the security of the property and to possibly have someone there to let in the plumbers, painters etc. It would be fine with me for the house sitter to bring their own dog too. There is a small yard in the front and in the back of the house. (This is not a pet sitting job, as I have no pets there.) The house is located near I-70 just east of downtown Kansas City and west of Independence, minutes from most metro locations. The house will be clean and the plumbing will work--as a starting point. Someone who would like to live in this area for a bit, and who appreciates seeing older properties and neighborhoods given new life, would be good for this listing. This is not a listing for someone wanting anything luxurious or even close, it is an old fixer-upper.
