Pierre stayed in our house in Sardinia for about 3 month, and I can say that he was just the ideal housitter!

He inspired a sense of trust since the beginning (or even earlier, i.e. during our prelimnary correspondence), up to the extent that I went so far as to propose that he could borrow my car (which he harldy did by the way). 

He was extremely discreet, but we also had the chance to spend some time together with him when I was there: all members of my family enjoyed his company vey much.

He did a great deal of things in the house, as he is extremely skilled in all activities related to the maintenance and construction of a house.

To be honest, I wouldn't hesitate a second to strongly recommend him as a housesitter.

Pierre was a wonderful dog/house sitter! He spent three weeks at my home in Upstate NY while I was away on a business trip. He took my high energy dog to the park everyday (sometimes 2x a day) and often sent me photos to keep me updated on how he was doing. He treated my home like his own and took great care of the house and garden. Watering and mowing the lawn as needed, he also took care of the mail, recycling, and garbage and even helped me to resolve a small issue that came up with the alarm. He is a thoughtful and trustworthy sitter who you can rest easy having in your home. When I returned home everything was clean and in good working order. I highly recommend him!

Location Cuenca Ecuador

Pierre made me worry a bit when he wanted to take local transportation from Quito to Cuenca - local and inter-regional buses are sometimes not as safe or timely as we would like.  He arrived on time, having enjoyed traveling with local buses. That was a big concern for me.  The night he arrived, we had our first house sitter from many years ago and our friend join us for pizza.  Pierre was a marvel. Though he had been traveling all day, he jumped right in and assisted in the kitchen. He didn't know where stuff was, but it didn't take him long to find it. He advised me to move my fire extinguisher away from the stove so I wouldn't catch my hair or clothes on fire if I had to reach for it tucked in beside the stove. We spent a pleasant day together getting to know the kitties and a little bit of the town, then --- we left, leaving Pierre, the cats, and the house.  We received updates from Pierre from time to time - videos showing how much the cats enjoyed having him massage their necks, and other pictures.  When we got home, the house was clean and the keys were in the outer patio, as promised.  I believe he enjoyed getting to know Cuenca and the general area. Unfortunately for him, he never got to rent a motorbike and explore the outer regions of the province.  I hope we'll have another sit for him when he returns to Cuenca.  If not, he'll be welcome to drop in to visit us. Sometimes people wonder about asking a man to sit, but he was wonderful. Punctual, fulfilled promises, left the house clean, entertained himself, and even changed out the litter at the end of his sit. What more can I say?  Contact me if you need more information.
