We are looking for a responsible House/Pet Sitter for 3 month who can care for a cat, dog and 5 chickens.
Travel dates are not yet confirmed, so we may be able to work within your schedule.
The Cat: "Tawnee" is a 1yr old tiger/calaco mix. She is very sweet & sponky. She loves to play and will actually fetch her favorite ball or mouse for you. She simply requires fresh food and water daily. She loves to play and follow you around the house. She's not much of a cuddler, but will let you pet her and cuddle at times once she gets to know you. She is an indoor cat exculsively since we do have a fair amount of wildlife in the area. Cleaning the litter box daily or at least every other day is a must.
The Dog: "Kiowa" is a 5 year old Red Bone Coon Hound. He's very affectionate and also pretty independant. He mostly sleeps when in the house, but loves to run. So daily walks are a must. And jaunts out in the county at least a couple times a week would make him very happy! We can let you know where these places are.
The Chickens: The five chickens are also easy to care for. They have a pretty sweet coop/scene with plenty of land to carous. The main job here is to let them out in the am & make sure to put them away securely in the evening to protect them from perdators. Fresh water and food daily. And of course collecting their farm fresh eggs and enjoying them!
You may need to do some snow shoveling if needed.
The Benefits: You get to live in one of the most beautiful and quiet parts of the country. You can learn about our great town in the black hills here: :// in a comfortable 2 bd. house on 2 acreas with mature trees. Enjoy the hot tub on the back porch while looking at the beautiful trees and wildlife (bunnies, birds, turkeys, etc..) Free Wifi; Bikes available for use if your up for a winter excursion; yurt for yoga & meditation practice. Walk downtown to enjoy resturants, shops, Evans Plunge Mineral Springs Pool, Freedom Trail; Easy access to many local attractions such as the Mammoth Site, Wind Cave Nat'l Park, Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore; Coldbrook Resevoir, Angastora Resevoir just to name a few.
We do like to travel, so if it works out and you like the area... there could be some longer term opportunities in the future.
