We live in a tranquil little town named Ballenita. We will be out of town from March 3 through March 12 and need a dependable and trusted sitter to look after our home and 2 energetic cats. Lola is 2 yrs. old and Pepé is 1.5 and they love to play. Lola eats raw ground chicken, which will be frozen into microwavable portions before your arrival. Pepé is too stubborn for that so he eats dry food. Normal home care, watering of plants and pet sitting duties (eg. empty litter box 1 x day...) is all that is required. This is a house/pet sit in exchange for accommodation only, not for pay.
We live on a 1/2 acre lot facing the ocean. Presently, we are building the guest house. By the time of your arrival, it will be just about finished; it will have a shower with hot water, kitchenette, toilet, Queen size bed and dining area. It will not have A/C since the ocean provides a great breeze and the windows have screens only. If you are nervous of heights, tall or have issues with stairs, this may not be a good place for you.
At low tide you can walk from our house for hours collecting shells and exploring tide pools. In Salinas, 20 minutes south, you'll find several good restaurants and local shops. There is an inexpensive bus system with buses frequently passing and an abundance of taxis. The closest town for shopping, fresh produce and fish is La Libertad, 5 minutes away.
This is a short stay but a great opportunity to enjoy the coast of Ecuador and play with a couple of entertaining cats.
