Introduction
My husband and I are retired and love to travel. We live in an updated home less than half a mile to bus line which goes to train station serving Atlanta metro area. Home is one mile to Historic Square of Roswell. We live on bike route for cycling and live three blocks from City park which has a Senior (over 50 years of age) Aquatic Center and Senior Center which has activities year round and a gym that is available for a fee for residents and non-residents.
Our Home & Location
Roswell is a suburban area of approximately 150,000 people primarily of professionals working in nearby Atlanta metro (27 miles to Atlanta center). We are situated one to two miles from Historic Square of Roswell which has numerous restaurants and we are a three block walk to one of the Roswell area parks with soccer fields and a facility serving Seniors (50 years +). Senior center has a indoor pool, whirlpool, classes such as yoga and a weight room which can be used for a fee. There is bus service to train station but it requires about a 5 block walk to bus stop. By car the train is 7 miles to station which goes to Atlanta and Domestic/International Airport. Roswell is situated near Chattahooche River which is near numerous walking trails. We are one mile from City Library, Auditorium and Municipal Center.
Responsibilities & Pets
Require care of our dog, Zebulon (Zeb), feeding and watering twice a day and walking once a day. Zeb is a rescue dog and has some anxiety issues. He loves people but is unsure of strangers and therefore requires handler to not allow strangers to approach in an aggressive manner. We would prefer housesitters who have experience with larger breeds. Zeb is affectionate and smart and knows basic commands, is crate trained and can be left for a reasonable period of time without fear of accidents. He has no issues with other dogs and enjoys the company of other dogs. He sleeps in his own bed on floor and does not get on furniture. You can take him off leash and he will not run away but stays close by and comes to you upon command.
Cleaning up after yourself, taking out garbage once a week, picking up mail at mailbox and sending to our daughter via mail, and watering houseplants once a week. Need excellent references and police check.
