Hello, we live close to the water at Hervey Bay. A 3 month old Tonkinese kitten, Coco, has joined our household of an adult cat, Abraham, & an older dog, Keisha. Keisha needs to be allowed outside to do her business & run around occasionally, but the cats are indoor pets. We have a pool with a cover to keep it warmer than normal & we're close to the water for walks etc. My husband Mark & I have bikes that are available for your use. Our pets are used to company & do better with social interaction & loving. We worry while we're away so are looking for a responsible person or couple to take care of them & keep an eye on the house while we're away. It's no problem to stay longer for a day or so after we get back to make your next transition easier. You can see the ocean from upstairs as there is only one house between us & the water. There is a bicycle path along the esplanade, however to swim in the ocean is probably a bike ride away or a 5 minute drive. Parking is no problem in this area. There are quirky restaurants along the foreshore & many quality restaurants at the bay in general. It will be the end of whale season, but you may be lucky. We often see dolphins locally. Fraser Island is a ferry ride away. The weather in Spring is usually delightful & I would imagine that swimming in the pool will be doable by then. Our bedrooms are upstairs & the kitchen & living are downstairs. We have polished cement floors downstairs for ease of maintenance with the pool directly outside. You're welcome to mow our small lawn while we're away, but this is by no means expected. If you'd like to open up the downstairs Concertina doors to the outside please just lock the pets in our bedroom & check on them from time to time. They are able to be left for long periods through the day if you'd like to go exploring, but we'd love you to spend time with the kitten as much as you're able as her personality is still forming. They sleep on our bed at night. They're used to our calm & loving temperaments. We would love you to have a wonderful break at the beach whilst keeping our beloved pets safe.
