My husband and I will be flying back to the U.S. for the holidays. We don't want to fly our 11 year old greyhound, although it will be difficult to leave him behind. He is an extremely gentle, loving companion for us.
We have rented a large apartment in San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua. Our landlord is from the U.S. and is allowing us to have a pet sitter. It has everything you need to be comfortable, A/C in the bedrooms (2), a large balcony, hot showers, backup water in case of emergency, and a private courtyard area. It is 1.5 blocks from the beach and walkable to all the restaurants in San Juan del Sur. Photos will be added shortly.
Our dog's name is Tom. He is a rescued greyhound and will be 11 years old in November. We have traveled all over Central America with him and absolutely hate to leave him for the holiday. Our family calls and we do not want to put him through the stress of flying.
Responsibilities will include taking Tom out on leash 3-4 times a day. He is old and does not like much exercise. Usually a 4 block walk is all he needs. He sleeps most of the day but we want someone who likes being at home with him most of the time. It's fine to go out to dinner or go to the beach for an hour or two, but no long days away from the home. He gets lonely and really enjoys listening to you talk and of course lots of cuddles throughout the day. He is completely house and crate trained.
We will expect regular updates via , FaceTime or .
