We are a young professional couple with a sweet senior cat and rambunctious 8-month old kitten, living in a cozy 1-bedroom apartment in downtown Vancouver.
We love to travel and hate to leave our Lucy and Basil alone when we go. Normally, we have a catsitter come visit once a day but as our cat Lucy has aged, we don't feel comfortable with that limited amount of daily interaction for her. Additionally, sometimes Basil can be a bit of pest and get on this little old lady's nerves so we would feel more comfortable having someone around to entertain/love/snuggle them.
This winter we're travelling for a couple of weeks in December and want to make sure our darling cats are well loved and taken care of while we're gone.
Our home is very basic. It's a cozy little apartment with hardwood floors, 1 bathroom, bedroom, and a small kitchen. We have wi-fi and a Netflix account, but no television/cable. There is no landline tele service either.
The only responsibilities would be keeping the apartment clean (i.e.: regular sweeping, clean up after yourself), gathering the mail, watering the plants, and tending to Lucy and Basil daily.
Lucy and Basil's care includes:
- Cleaning litter box 2x/day (morning and evening)
- Feeding 2x/day (morning and evening)
- Lots of love and snuggles (particularly for Lucy)
- 15-20 minutes of play time per day
- Daily access to fresh air through supervised time with the window open
