We are looking for a single person or small family to care for our two friendly cats and small miner's cottage in Ballarat East. The house is small and humble, with a vegie garden, trees and a cool, covered outdoor area.
There is one double bedroom, and a small single room, which would be perfect for a family with one child. Both cats are very tolerant of children and will warm to you quickly.
The house is a 15 minute walk to the centre of town, and close to Sovereign Hill, Lake Esmond, the Wildlife park and M.A.D.E museum of Democracy. We are 5 minutes walk from a supermarket and 20 minutes walk from the train station. Melbourne is about an hours by train, though Ballarat has its own galleries, cafes, pubs and theatre.
We have the usual amenities, such as fridge, beds, heater and fans. The house is well insulated and doesn't tend to heat up over Summer. Though small, the house and gardens are neat and tidy, if a tad quirky. The neighbours are quiet and friendly. We can organise a telly for your stay if you would like one. Internet is available as well.
Mostly, we are after a person or people who will pat the cats as well as feed them, hang out in the garden and give it a drink if it's dry, and generally enjoy their time here. The amenities are simple, but the house is friendly and low maintenance.
