The house is about 100 years old, a stone built, single-storey cottage. The total plot area is1800 sq. metres, about half an acre. There are two double bedrooms, each en-suite and a large living room/dining area. There is a conservatory which we also use as a dining area. There are two more en-suite bedrooms in an outhouse. Outside there are several patio areas. The plot is secure for the dogs.
The dogs are all rescued; 1 German pincer cross (8 years), 1 wire haired terrier (1 year) and 1 pomeranian (12 years). All are friendly and very used to a wide variety of people.
The village is traditional and rural but it is only 4 km from Dobrich, a city with all the usual shops and services.
There are 2 shops/bars in the village and in one of them English is spoken!
We have unlimited wi-fi and lots of English books but no TV.
The kitchen is fully equipped: microwave oven, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, electic cooker.
Walking the 2 larger dogs once or twice a day is highly desirable but not absolutely essential, they can run around outside. The dogs are fed twice a day. The cats are fed erratically. The ducks are fed/watered once a day and locked up at night. You should get 1 egg a day!
Some general gardening/ weeding and mowing the 200 sq. metre lawn is required. We have an electric mower.
The Black Sea is half an hour away by car and there are some interesting places to see and places to eat out (very well and very cheaply). You will have the use of the car, all you need is a valid driving licence. In Bulgaria it is the car that is insured not the driver.
Required early April for 3-4 weeks, exact dates flexible at the moment.
Our nearest airport is Varna. As well as flights to Bulgarian destinations there is a service from UK with Wizz Air. Varna is less than an hour by car.
