I live on the gorgeous Fleurieu Peninsula which is about 45 minutes from Adelaide city and 15 minutes from the McLaren Vale wine region. I'm about 300 metres from the beach and just a 15 minute walk along the beach to Port Willunga and its popular Star of Greece restaurant.
It's a peaceful and quiet spot where you can enjoy the sounds of the birds chirping and sometimes hear the waves crashing.
The Adelaide Fringe Festival will be on while I'm away and also Womadelaide so a great opportunity for someone to experience "mad March" - the most exciting time to be in Adelaide!
Lola, my dog, is a high energy kelpie cross and has a beautiful nature. She sleeps in her own bed in my bedroom though is happy to snuggle on the bed with you if you're up for it! I usually take her for 2 x 30 minute or so walks/runs a day to burn up her energy and save my backyard from being dug up. She's used to being home by herself while I'm at work 4-5 days a week but I do try not to leave her alone for more than 9 or so hours. There's a park acrosss the road where you can throw a ball around for her to chase if you're not up for a walk yourself.
I have a backyard veggie patch and flowerbeds in the front yard that would need watering and lots of indoor plants that just need to be watered when they show you they need it!
I have WiFi that you can use - it's not unlimited so if you require heavy internet usage, that would need to be discussed with a possible charge for any excess over my plan.
There's a possibility you can use my car and I have a couple bicycles you're welcome to use.
There's a shopping centre a 10 minute walk away and the Willunga Farmers Market on Saturday mornings is a great place to soak up the atmosphere and get local produce. Will lend you my members card so you get 10% discount.
I will be away for two weeks but am happy for you to arrive a few days before I leave if you want, just to make sure you and Lola get along. She can be a bit nervous around some people. If you don't get along, I can always book her into a local kennel if need be though would obviously prefer to keep her at home.
I'm very house proud so am looking for someone respectful that will keep my house and yard neat, clean and tidy. Feel free to do garden maintenance such as weeding etc but definitely not expected.
Will add some inside house photos in the next day or so.
