We live in the island of Koh Lanta in Southern Thailand and need somebody (or a couple) to take care of our loved pets. Our modest one-room apartment is in a quiet area about 30 minutes walk (5 min by scooter) from the nearest beach.
We recently adopted 2 rescue dogs and 1 rescue cat in Thailand and we´ll take them with us to Finland. But we need to leave for work already in March and the animals are permitted to travel only in June. We want the pets to be able to stay at our temporary home in Thailand until that and we need a dedicated pet sitter. This might be easiest for a couple so there would be less dog walks and less looking after the animals just for one person.
You would need to walk the dogs 3 times a day which would mean about 2 hours a day. There are some walking paths where to take the dogs and they can be also taken to the closest beach for walks. They can´t run free at any point.
Koh Lanta is a popular holiday destination with great beaches. It will be more quiet in April, May and June when the rainy season starts. It´s easiest to get around by scooter (we will cover the scooter rent).
Our dogs are about mid-size (weight about 15 kg each) and they love cuddles and being close and they sleep on the bed. But during nights you may put them in their big crates. We hope our dogs and the cat will be fine together by the end of March, but it might be that you will need to be careful and not to let them free in the room at the same time.
Our catneeds lots of cuddles too, and we hope you would be a person who likes to stay at home. But you may leave the pets alone eg. for 8 hours during the day and then leave again for dinner in the evenings.
