About our home and animals
We have two much loved shih tzus (Buster and Cassie) who require care and companionship for a period of four weeks from the end of May to the beginning of July .
We have re-advertised as our house-sitter unfortunately became ill and we are looking for a new sitter at short notice.
Ours is a large and comfortable family home in Fraser, with all mod cons, a lovely leafy aspect and gardens to enjoy.
We would love to hear from you if you enjoy the company of small and affectionate dogs, have a keen interest in gardening (nothing too strenuous!) and have previous experience house sitting.
Location
Our home is located in Fraser, 20 minutes north of Canberra's CBD. We are ideally located close to shops and Mount Rogers Reserve, which is great for walks and beautiful views. Belconnen Shopping Centre is 12 minutes away, with local shops at the end of the street for anything you might need.
Buster and Cassie
Buster and Cassie are two rescue shih tzus who enjoy a happy and relatively pampered existence. They enjoy at least one walk each day (Buster can be the more energetic of the two) and are friendly, sociable animals. They are used to their people coming & going, however this house sit is best suited to someone who works from home regularly or is semi-retired as they aren't used to being left alone for long periods of time. Cassie can be sensitive to thunderstorms and depending upon the weather, you might be required to give her a tranquilliser. They are perfectly toilet trained and like to sleep at the end of the bed with you please :-)
House Tasks
We would ideally like someone who has experience keeping a large garden maintained (mostly just watering and raking at this time of year) however your main priority will be caring for Buster and Cassie as if they were your own. You would need to keep the place tidy, don't smoke inside and keep the garden looking green. It's a lovely home and we think you will be very happy staying here.
