We are a small family living in a townhouse, located within a quiet and green area at the center of Bangkok; few minutes' walk from a BTS station (Skytrain), MRT station (underground train) and ferry station. It also located within a walking distance from the city's major shopping and entertainment complexes and Lumphini Park and close to most of the Thai capital's key attractions.
The place lies amidst an abundance of food and beverage outlets (both upmarket 5 stars restaurants and some of the most famous Bangkokian street food eateries) and surrounded by hotels that home the city's trendiest rooftop bars.
It is equipped with all the necessary home appliances, including a dryer and dishwasher. We also have a housekeeper, who doesn't work full time when we travel, but would be a great help when she's around.
Our cats are pretty much hassle free; they spend all their time out in the yard. We do keep a litter box outside, which they don’t use quite often, but it would still need some scooping. Apart from that, they just need their food topped-up and their water changed.
We are quite active and thus our dog is too. She is full of energy and loves a big walk at least once a day, but otherwise she'd be totally happy to fetch the tennis ball in the backyard for as long as someone is throwing it. Apart from that, she needs food, plenty of fresh water and plenty of love.
We also have few plants that may require watering every now and then.
We'd rather the potential house sitter arrives two days before we depart, so we'd get to meet and greet appropriately and brief them properly about the house, the area and the daily routine. We also appreciate them hanging around for one day after we return, as our first days back are often too hectic, and we hardly have anytime for the pets.
