Hi there - we have a three bedroom home in Prospect, Tasmania, in need of a housesitter/dog-bird-fish sitter for approximately 4 nights (long stays possible if you want to stay on with us). We have one guest room with a king single bed, and a second guest room with a pullout double sofa bed, to accommodate the housesitter/s.
Our bullmastiff Bosley is young and loves company, he spends half his time inside (more of a winter) and gets along well with many other dogs - particularly young dogs. Walking is not required, but some daily play time in the yard is.
We also have a few goldfish who need a daily feed, and two birds who need a feed every second or third day. We need somebody who is happy to spend some time with our dog at the house each morning and night, and who won't be gone for more than a few hours at a time. Bosley will not require walking (unless somebody is very confident with large strong dogs and is very keen to take him somewhere). He is overly enthusiastic when meeting new dogs.
The house is within walking distance of an IGA supermarket, some take away shops and lots more (bakery, hair dresser, chemist etc), and a bus runs right past the house into the city. Great for anybody checking out Launceston and surrounds, plenty of parking off street, and there is room for a campervan out the back in a securely gated yard, if you are proficent at reversing!
We will be gone for 4 days and three nights, but are happy for longer stays to enable a bit of sight seeing once we are back and there are no pet-sitting duties. NBN internet connected at the house.
