We are looking to find someone familiar with house pets to house sit and take care of our two pets between August 10 - 25, 2018. These dates are approximate and will be confirmed based on housesitter availability. This is an unpaid position. We live in La Jolla, California in a three bedroom, three bathroom condominium. Our home has a large patio overlooking a grassy area only a few steps from one of the community’s two heated swimming pools. Broadband internet with both network and WiFi connections are provided, as well as cable television. Our community HOA management handles all exterior maintenance needs, so normal house keeping is all that is required. Our community offers many amenities including:
- o Four swimming pools, two heated, and hot tubs
- o Multiple tennis courts
- o Five (5) minutes from grocery stores (VONS, Ralphs, Trader Joe’s & Sprouts), CVS, Staples, banks, restaurants, etc.
- o Approximately 12 minutes (3.4 miles) from the beaches at La Jolla or Pacific Beach
- o Easy on/off access to major highways
- o 12 – 15 minutes from downtown San Diego and historic Old Towne
- o ~2.5 hours from Los Angeles
- o 20 – 30 minutes from the U.S./Mexican border.
There are many things to do in the San Diego area, including the San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park, museums, outdoor activities, concerts, theater, etc.
We have two pets, a two-year old female Golden Retriever and a one year old cat. The dog weighs approximately 63 pounds and is a well trained, enthusiastic dog. The cat and dog get along most of the time but have occasional flare ups. The dog needs to be walked at least three times a day on lead. Both animals get fed twice a day, once in the morning and again at night. Both animals are indoor pets.
