My husband and I have lived in Thailand for 16 years in the same apartment on Sukhumvit Soi 61. Over the years, we have had the honor of 3 black cats choosing to share their lives with us. We travel quite a bit during the year however which leaves them pretty lonely. We are hoping to find a constant house and cat sitter to play and pet them when we go away.
Our house is located 5 minutes walk to the Eckamai BTS station in Bangkok. The neighborhood is quiet, but Eckamai is right at your doorstep and Thong Lo a few minutes further walking. There are several grocery stores and Gateway mall close. Our apartment is a 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom old style apartment with large balcony and lots of plants. We have a 50 inch TV with True cable and high speed internet. There is a full kitchen. We have a maid, Khun Lek, who comes Mon - Fri during the day to do cleaning, and laundry. The compound has a pool. There is no gym.
The main responsibilities revolve around the cats since Khun Lek does the majority of the cleaning. The cats are indoor only, have been their whole lives, so one responsibility is to make sure the doors and windows (either screens or glass) remain closed. The cats like to be talked to, watch TV, play chase the feather toy, brushing (lots of brushing) and pets (lots of pets). On the weekends, we would ask that the sitter scoop the litter boxes so that they get daily scooping. Also, light cleaning up after themselves to avoid ants in the kitchen.
