Hi there! We are looking for a cat-lover/Italy-lover to pet sit in Florence from december 20 to 05 Jan 25.
The apartment in Florence is a little private villa inside a bigger villa compound. Outside the front door is the view of rolling hills and olive trees. It's truly the image of a Tuscan dream!!
The apartment is in the district of Scandicci, and due to its countryside location, access to Florence centre involves 30 mins walk to the tram stop and then a 20 min ride to the centre (train station). Closest supermarket is a 20min walk away too.
The airport is a 25min/40€ taxi ride away or you can catch the tram which is a 30min ride and then a 30mins walk or 10min taxi. I am always happy to pick up in my little Fiat 500 when possible!
Our 1st furbaby is called Billi (he was a little bit famous in Padova (where we used to live) because he insisted on being taken outside for walks every day on his leash. Actually, he behaves quite like a dog!! Our 2° furbaby is Kimba, a initially-shy little black girl who has a squeaky little voice that you only hear when she thinks food is about to arrive!
Billi has loads of energy and loves to play games like hide-and-seek in the garden. He requires about 30 minutes of dedicated playtime a day. Kimba is a little calmer and timid but loves chasing string and paper balls.
Billi and Kimba are both desexed and thank the heavens, they have no health problems. We also have a fish tank; the only resident is "Batman", the bottom feeder who is fed every second day with an algae wafer.
The apartment is comfortable with WiFi, loads of light, and cute little garden out the front door overlooking the rolling Tuscan hills. There is no TV but the internet is strong enough to stream from.
There is air-conditioning, but the airflow in the apartment is great as you can open awnings from one side of the apartment to another. There is also independent heating.
Kitchen: Fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, gas cooker top, airfryer.
Florence needs no explanations, it's one of the MUST-SEE cities of Italy and the little villa is well-placed for sightseeing, hiking, great restaurants, heading to the hills and everything else Florence has to offer!!
