Our situation is a little unusual.
We own a farm in Swedens's southermost wilderness. An old rustic house on 8 hectars of fields and surrounded by a lake on three sides - reached after 6km drive through the forest. It's home to a 28 year old horse and 3 adult plus 3 young Highland cattle (a bull, his 2 "wives" and their 3 kids!)
The maintenance at the moment consists of grass cutting around the house in summer, and rolling hayballs into the feeder in the winter.
The main house is large in a "ranch style" - but with excellent earth heating and many fireplaces - 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, a piano and a large home cinema upstairs.
There is an outdoor Jacuzzi which is warmed with firewood, and can be used year-round if you wish.
We have fast optic fibre internet with wifi - via cable under the lake.
There is a boat with a motor for trips to the islands, plus 2 canoes. The area is known for it's 27 fishing lakes.
The two large barns house a quad, trailer, sit-on lawn-mower, various tool sheds, fishing tackle etc.
It's a 3 hour drive to central Copenhagen - but only 15 minutes to all usual local shops, banks, bakeries, garages etc - plus supermarkets with a reasonable choice of organic veggies.
Our family consists of me and I live in London, my daughter and grand-daughter who live in Copenhagen, and my 2 sons who live in California.
I'm looking for house-sitters who enjoy the wilderness and don't feel too cut-off by the Swedish forests.
These are the basics. If at all interested let me know and I can send photos and we can chat.
