We are looking for a housesitter for May 10th through the 18th to take care of our cat, Ruby.
We are in a very pleasant and well maintained over 55 community and need someone who will take care of our cat. She is a sweet cat who has been rescued from a State shelter and has lived with us for six years during which time she came to trust and not fear people; she is now very affectionate and wants a lap to sleep on. She was abused for 8 years until we adopted her. She has herpes, which is not contagious to humans; this manifests itself in a funky looking right eye. She sneezes and coughs but does not need any medication. She needs to be fed, litter changed, and spend time with her when she adjusts to the person(s). She has difficulty being left alone for days and needs human support. I would say she has a separation anxiety from the years of being abused.
We are an hour away from Atlantic City, close to shopping malls and supermarkets as well as the beach, many parks in the area and an easy bus ride to Manhatten. The close proxcimity to Manhattan is a real treat with the culture and adventures one may have in the borough. We are very close to Great Adventures Amusement Park. Our house is very comfortable with lots of DVD movies, music CDs, a small patio out back with comfortable chairs and table for outdoor dining.
