I have a large and lovely apartment in historic Brooklyn Heights with 2 mature and affectionate cats who need TLC (and one may need medication) while I'm away.
This is an elevator building with 24-hour doormen on a quiet, tree-lined street close to subways, restaurants, parks and the Brooklyn Bridge. There is one large bedroom and a second small bedroom with a comfortable daybed in it, along with a spacious living/dining area. I've got wifi (but no cable), a smart TV, a fully equipped kitchen, and a tub/shower in the bathroom. It's ideal for a couple, for a single person looking for a peaceful place to work or relax, for a NYC resident who wants a break from their current living situation, or for a pair of travelers who don't want to share a room and who love cats.
Other than caring for the cats (feeding twice daily, keeping the litterbox clean) and taking good care of the apartment, nothing needs to be done. One of my cats, Cielo, is 9 years old and mostly blind, but that doesn't stop him from acting like he can see perfectly; both he and MaryKay, who's 12 years old, tend to start demanding food early in the morning, so if you're a very late sleeper you might not like that. Otherwise, they're low-maintenance, lots of fun, and they keep each other good company when you're not at home.
No smokers, children, or additional pets.
