What We Need:
We are looking for an animal lover who is reliable and trustworthy. We need someone to care for them during December so that we can travel. We would like someone who has good communication skills so that we can discuss the stay and they will keep us updated on the wellbeing of the animals. Our animals are not hard work but we need someone who will be patient with them as they get over their nerves and then play and interact with them.
Responisbilities:
- Keeping the apartment tidy/clean during your stay.
- Walking the dogs three times a day (just around the complex - a long walk is not necessary).
- Ensuring animals have food and water at all times.
- Interact with the animals and play with them
- Clean the litter trays and any accidents one of the dogs may have.
All of the animals are friendly and do not bite. They are not hard work.
Our Home:
Our apartment is in the district of Huangdao near Qingdao city. Huangdao is like a mini-city itself. Our apartment is conveniently located about 1 block away from multiple supermarkets, and many restaurants, bars, and cafes. A block in the other direction takes you to the seafront promenade. Right outside our complex is a 24 hour store, a fruit shop, cinema, and across the road is a bakery, bars and restaurants (a wide variety of choices). There are numerous spas close by if you are seeking relaxation. A short journey away by car is an outlet shopping complex with an ice skating rink and a new mall with numerous shops and food options, and in the other direction are some beaches.
Qingdao city is about 30 minutes away by taxi (or there is a bus). Taxis here are quite cheap so the journey would not cost a lot of money. In Qingdao there are more beaches, a brewery, malls, some tourist attractions, mountains to hike, and even opportunities to do sailing. Qingdao is an interesting city and has been voted one of the most livable cities in China. There is a mix of Chinese and European history in the city.
Our apartment has wifi, internal heating, a washing machine, a kitchen with all the cooking equipment you would need, a dining table, lovely shower, and 2 bedrooms. It has a large comfortable sofa and you can see the sea from the enclosed balcony. Our apartment complex is safe and there are paths to walk around.
To be Aware of:
You will need a visa to enter China. The process will seem complicated but it isn't too tricky with the right information. I am happy to find you the relevant information to help you apply for and get your visa. The process can be quite quick so you will have it back in plenty of time before the stay! :)
