Host Liz was a great communicator, planner, resource for a wonderful stay in Southampton, well before I arrived and ongoing during the sit. Her two-page set of instructions is the very best I have received for sits.
The cats Missy and DJ were a joy to love and provide care for. Liz ensured I had all routine and emergency information for them and I knew what the cats needed daily. Instructions were clear and helpful. There were no problems or hitches regarding their care.
The home was lovely, comfortable, nicely appointed with conveniences and amenities, and located in a quiet "rural" location not far from restaurants, shops, and services. I walked into town center daily and within five minutes I was there. Neighbors were kind and made clear they were willing to help. Townspeople were friendly and helpful, to a fault.
Most of all, I was impressed with how kind Liz was to: pick me up in Fareham bus station where I could have taken a local bus ride instead; walk me the long way around the town area and show me historic and practical highlights; select maps, schedules, and local color booklets for my use; and, take me to my departure location on my last day, immediately after her long haul flight home. Kindness and generosity are words that come to mind. Perfect host says it all, indeed. Thank you!!

My house/pet sit at Liz McLaren’s home in Bishops Waltham (UK) was wonderful - in the truest sense of the word - from beginning to end.
Liz kindly picked me up at the bus station (the trains were on strike on the day I arrived) and took me to the train station at the end of my 2-week stay.
She has a lovely home and garden, only a 10-minute walk to the High Street where every amenity was easily available, including a very nice pub and fish ‘n chips shop. There was also excellent bus service from Bishops Waltham to and fro Winchester which I very much enjoyed using.
Last, but not least, the kitties (DJ and Missy) were a veritable delight to care for, to get to know and to become friends with.
Liz thoughtfully left me instructions for every aspect of the running of her home, including contacting the neighbors in the event I needed help, which I did as I was uncertain how to turn on the oven!
Thanks to Liz’s thoughtfulness, everything went like clockwork!
As I started at the beginning, a wonderful, memorable house/pet sit!

Missy just would NOT go out in the rain, and DJ just wanted to eat all the time! Both were loving and slept on my bed. It's a pretty, historic village and just a short way from Winchester which is full of interest. Communication was easy, and the neighbours were friendly! A great sit, thanks.
