Our hope is to find an individual or couple who will over-see care of our house and our cat (1) here in Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia while we are away for a short vacation. Georgetown is a relax city and everyone speaks English.
We hope the house sitter can join us starting 9 Aug 2018 and this assignment will end on the 14 August 2018.
The ideal house sitter must be a non-smoker, no drugs or alcohol and love cats.
About our house :
The house is design with modern charming heritage décor and is a double story terrace house with a shaded private garden on the 1st floor.
The house sitter will be staying at one of our rooms, access to bathrooms with hot shower located same level as the rooms (all the rooms does not have attached bathroom). The rooms is newly restored, clean and cozy with fan & air-cond.
We have WiFi (good for normal used i.e. social media apps but not ideal for live streaming or video conference).
There is a Coway water filter dispenser that provide clean drinking water and hot water.
As Penang is a foodie heaven, you get to enjoy the various delicacies nearby. House sitter is welcome to use the fridge, microwave and toaster in the kitchen. Please clean up after used. However, no cooking is allowed.
Please note we have CCTV security surveillance for purpose but this is in common area only.
Location
Our house is located centrally in Georgetown with the closest amenities being markets, bus stops, hawker centers, etc. The nearest bus stop is only 1 min walk away.
The malls/shopping complexes is mins walking distance.
We are also close by the Penang's famous night food street, Lorong Baru (New Lane) opposite Penang Time Square and Jalan Kuantan, where the locals go for breakfast.
Our home is also minutes’ walk to UNESCO heritage site and street art.
WHAT RESPONSIBILITIES ARE REQUIRE OF THE HOUSESITTER
We would like the house sitter to take care of our cat and maintain the cleanliness of our home.
Tasks usually performed during a house sitting stay
1. Gardening – water plants according to our process (we will let you know)
2. General maintenance for the common areas and your room – Vacuuming and Garbage disposal (as needed). We will not have any guests staying during this period. So you only need to maintain the common area and the room you will be staying.
3. Pet care
a) Grooming
b) Feeding
c) Clean the litter box (at least 2x daily)
Some basic house rules
No shoes in the house.
No food in the room. There is a dining area where you can enjoy their meals in comfort.
No visitors are allowed. Please do contact us if this is necessary.
Air-conditioner and lights should not be left on when no one is in the room.
For the comfort of our neighbors, kindly do keep the noise down to a minimum (no party or loud music please, especially between 10.00PM - 8.00AM, thanks!)
We understand accidents do occur, but unfortunately we must charge for any damages.
