We are looking for a house sitter who can take care of our 1 year old goldendoodle (Maya), our 2 ½ year old cat (Loki) and water some house plants once a week.
We are located west of Driggs in Teton Valley, Idaho, on the west side of the Teton Mountains, near the Teton River. Grand Teton National Park in Jackson’s Hole, WY is an hour away and Yellowstone National Park is an hour and a half. We are ten minutes drive from town by car and the nearest hospital, grocery store and many fine restaurants. A vehicle will be necessary.
Late May into mid-June is a beautiful time to be here. The valley will be green and there is still snow up high in the mountains. Our home is a few minutes walk to the Teton River and is surrounded by conservation and State of Idaho Game and Fish lands with panoramic views of the Grand Teton and Big hole Mountains. The only things we usually hear are geese, cranes and, at night, coyotes. If you are a birdwatcher, Greater Sandhill Cranes fly overhead morning and night in addition to Mountain bluebirds, owls and others.
In addition to sight-seeing, there is outstanding mountain and road biking, hiking and, if the rivers are clearing, world-class fishing on the Teton River and other nearby rivers and streams.
The house has two bedrooms, two baths and a hot tub facing the Tetons. We have wifi, Netflix, plus tv stations on a large screen tv.
