I'm hoping to travel for about 10 days this summer (exact dates tbd but it will be in June and/or July) and am looking for someone trustworthy who'd like a respite in SoCal and who will tend the two cats that live here (neutered males ages 9 & 7).
Cat care consists of feeding them (dry food), topping up their water bowls and once a day scooping their (2) litter boxes. If you're so inspired one cat loves to be brushed (against the nap, incredibly), the other will tolerate it (with the nap, please!) for a short period - typically as a jealous response when cat 1 is being brushed. Both sleep with me but have yet to sleep with anyone else who's stayed with them - who knows, you may be the first!
Privacy & bird serenades courtesy of the trees that surround the house which is located in the San Gabriel foothills, in a flora & fauna-filled, quiet neighborhood 2 miles from the Rose Bowl (on its west side).
The Memorial Park Goldline (subway) station is ~4 miles from the house and there are bus stops just down the street.
With 3 bedrooms (each with en suite, full baths) and a deck that runs the length of the back of the house there's plenty of space to enjoy the natural setting or to nestle away. Feel free to use the xl propane-fueled grill on the deck or the fully equiped kitchen. Washer & dryer are at your disposal and wifi is accessible throughout the house.
Unfortunately I can only offer the serenity & beauty of a house that's located in a vibrant area with a broad array of activities* as compensation.

*Farmer's markets, amazing restaurants serving food from all parts of the world, hiking, art museums & galleries, world-class music of all genres (including free concerts), horseback riding, beaches, mountains, biking (though the bikes need a bit of tlc), amusement parks, theatre & theaters, etc.
