I need a house sitter to take care of my home and my wonderful yellow lab, Taffy. I live in Missoula, MT at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. Missoula is a university town made famous by the movie A River Runs Through It. It has wonderful coffee shops, breweries, bakeries, and restaurants and it is the rare week that there isn't a concert, guest speaker, sports event, or play going on. This is a mountain town and I live two miles from an open space area and seven miles from a wilderness area. People who love to hike and bike and be outdoors love Missoula. Ski areas are also nearby.
My house is a lovely home with a daylight basement and a huge back yard with way too many trees. The deck facing West is nearly the width of the house. I love to redecorate and remodel and it shows. Upstairs there are wood floors and area rugs and beautiful windows to let in the light. The kitchen has granite countertops and new appliances and there is a separate dining room. I have my office upstairs and there is a bedroom and bathroom on this level. Downstairs are two more bedrooms, a bathroom, a family room and a smaller room. It's very light and carpeted. Staying in my house is like living in a library since there are book cases everywhere, as you can see in the photos. All the furniture is new and perfect for napping or sitting. There are flat screen TVs on both levels and I subscribe to Direct TV. I also have the internet.
Everyone who comes into my home feels comfortable immediately and you will, too. I am a borderline fanatical housekeeper (eldest daughter in a big Irish family; it was inevitable) but if you would like to keep my cleaning lady, we can arrange that. She comes in every two weeks and does the entire house for $100. Mary is a fun person and you can trust her to the moon and back.
Taffy is called by my grandchildren "The dog of the world". And she is certainly that. She will be seven in January and is true to her breed- very friendly and affectionate. She will welcome you every day and loves to ride in the car. I take her over to the field to chase the ball in the mornings (it's down the street) and we go for another walk later in the day. I hate to leave her but I'll be in Mexico and she will be better off at home.
The only upkeep that I would anticipate would be shoveling snow! Don't worry, I have two shovels!
