A spacious, comfortable house on three levels, located on the outskirts of Nimes in the South of France.
There is a large, well lit living room, well-equipped kitchen and huge, south facing terrace. On many occasions we've been able to enjoy our New Year's Day lunch outside in the sun!
We would need people who take care of the house and take care to lock up everything when going out. For the animals, there is Igloo, a Labrador/Husky cocktail who is now a very old gentleman. His sidekick is Muscat, an ex-hunting dog who is a bit of a barker. There are strategies for dealing with this though. They enjoy walks, about half an hour a day. Then there is Meenah, the cat. It is, of course, HER house and she has absolutely NO patience.
Then we have our operatic goats to take care of. They are named Norma and Tosca and do the funniest things! They don't need a great deal of looking after as they have their own plot of land behind the house. But they do need to be put into their little Chalet in the evening and given grains and hay to supplement their grazing.
Talking about opera, we would be delighted to have house sitters who enjoy operas and ballets as well as classic movies. Because, in the basement, we have an amazing theatre and cinema which can seat up to 30 people (the theatre is known as OperaDou). There is an extensive collection of operas, ballets, Symphony concerts, documentaries and also a pretty good selection of films - all on Blu-ray. We will show our house-sitters how to play the discs.
