I'm looking for an experienced housesitter to care for my home and dog Booker over the summer from May 29th through July 18th.
The House and Area:
I live in a small but cute three bedroom, 1.5 bath ranch home in Swissvale (a suburb of Pittsburgh). I live on a quiet street with ample parking, quiet neighbors, and a great view from the large brick porch off the back. The home is equipped with high speed Wi-Fi, but no cable- I generally just stream Netflix, Plex, or Hulu. I'm about a five minute drive to the main interstate, and fifteen minutes to downtown. As with any larger city there's numerous shopping, restraunts, coffee shops, museums all around the area and I'd be happy to share a few of my favorites. During the summer there's a local farmer's market down the street, and Frick Park is just a few minutes drive and offers bike paths, hiking trails, and more nature than you can shake a stick at.
Booker:
Booker is a playful, friendly, three year old rescue dog, mixed breed and medium sized (approximately 35 pounds). He loves meeting people and being around them, but is also fine at home during the workday. He generally goes out in the morning, once in the late afternon, and once before bed, and eats in the evening. He gets standard meds (flea and tick and de-wormer) once a month, but otherwise has no special meds or needs.
What I'm Looking For:
I'm looking for an experienced housesitter mainly to care for Booker. The home is pretty easy, and I have several plants that need occassional watering (most are succulents and hard to kill), and a small portion of the yard that might need a mowing over the summer. I'd prefer a non-smoker, non-drug user, either single individual or couple.
