We are looking for someone to look after our Jack Russel Mufasa - he is 8 years old. He is super chill - for a Jack Russel! He will happily sit in the sun with you all day or run a 5k with you. We need someone who loves dogs and will look after him like he was theirs.
Our flat is spacious and is well set up for a couple - or family. We have 2 toddlers so younger kids will be very welcome and easily accommodated. The flat is already pretty childproofed! Our dog Mufasa is great with small kids as well.
Our flat is in La Plagne (Centre) in the middle of a ski resort in the beautiful French Alps. We are looking for a sitter in May - so the ski season will be over, the snow will be here but melting. It's a great time of year to walk, explore and generally just be in nature.
9th floor (top floor) - only flat on this level. Don't worry there is a lift!
Open plan payout with kitchen flowing into living room
3 bedroom (1 double, 1 toddler bed, 1 pull out double sofa bed)
1 bathroom with shower
1 toilet - separate to bathroom
2 balconies East and West facing - both toddler proofed!
Minimal decoration and very easy to maintain and keep clean.
Personal washing machine
Huge free car park outside
Lots of toys for kids ages years old including sledges, balance bikes (no pedals) etc
La Plagne is a stunning area of the world and France. It is largely a touristic area and May is what we call the 'inter season' meaning that it isn't winter ski season and its not yet summer (mountain biking / road biking etc). The inter season is one of the best times of the season in that its very quiet and peaceful, you can walk through the mountains and not see other people for hours.
The only reason we travel at this time is because my husband and I have jobs in the tourism industry and can only take holiday in these inter season times.
However, you do need to be aware of the fact that because it is downtime for most of the locals working and living here, a lot of local amenities are closed whilst everyone takes holiday. So there are minimal restaurants, bars etc open. Please don't expect there to be a buzzing social scene. This is a time of year to come here if you enjoy life outdoors is a stunning but peaceful location.
There is a small mini-supermarket open for basic food supplies, but for larger shopping you will need to head down the mountain to the next big town mins drive.
I would strongly suggest that the person coming here needs their own transport as public transport up and down the mountain is non-existent.
