We are looking for someone to watch our lakefront home and pets (a seven year old very chill dog and two 4 year old cats) while we are on summer vacation. Our dates are firm.
Our home is perfect for a couple or individual who want to see the sights of DC but can come back and relax at the beautiful lake.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Feeding our pets twice a day: morning and afternoon.
- Letting our dog in and out (we have an invisible fence) and taking him on at least one walk a day.
- Cleaning kitty litter (sorry—I think it’s gross too).
- Letting the housecleaners in once while we are gone.
- A landscaping company will also hopefully come by and mow while we are gone.
- Cleaning up after yourself.
OUR NEIGHBORHOOD
Our home is located on a lakefront property inside the beltway. We are about a 9 miles from DC. Our neighborhood is called the “hidden gem” of DC. We have five sand beaches, swimming, fishing, kayaking, stand up paddle boards, pontoon boating, etc.
OUR HOME
Built in the 1950s, like many homes in our neighborhood, it has some “uniqueness” to it including a large room that used to have an indoor pool in it. We have since covered it, but we have used it for yoga classes, art camps, and even boxing lessons.
The house has 5 bedrooms, but the guest bedroom and guest bathroom is located in the lower level. You are welcome to use all areas of the house except: main floor bedrooms, MBR bathroom and the office.
We have two large screen tvs, WiFi, a pingpong table, and a piano.
Our home is on the lake and from the house you can see blue herons fishing, eagles flying, foxes running, deer munching, and the even occasional beaver swimming in our backyard... and occassionally munching on our trees (grrrr).

OUR PETS
DOG: Chill 7 year old dog. He sleeps a good portion of the day on our couch but we do have an invisible fence so he ask you to let him in and out. He sleeps in as well and overall is very low maintenance.
CATS: We have two cats. One will insist you pet her but not pick her up. The other will act bored by you but he is just playing it cool. He loves to be pet and doesn’t care so much if you pick him up.
