We are looking for a house and dog sitter who is also okay with other people being in the house. We run an and are willing to pay our sitter a cleaning fee for changing sheets and keeping the rooms in order. If you want to stay and you don't want to be bothered with this work, we can hire someone else to do it instead. We ask you to maintain tidy areas in general as part of house sitting.
Our dogs are a 19 year old Dachshund who needs help up and down the stairs and a 9 year old pointer mix. Both are friendly although they will bark as people enter the house. When you leave for the day to explore the area, which is filled with mining history and adventure in the Pikes Peak region, the dogs have their own space in the garage with a door leading to a fenced yard. There's no need to worry about them! They are fed two times a day. Both have medications they take in the morning and evening. The meds are easy to give pills. No shots! You can wrap the pills in cheese and it is an easy process!
We have a hot tub and ask you to keep an eye on it. A guest may increase the temperature and we want to be sure it stays at a certain temperature at night.
Guests in the house stay on the main level and are prevented from entering your space on the lower level with a gate you can close by 9 p.m. Your area walks out to the back deck, propane fire pit, and hot tub. The dogs stay with you at night! There's a Queen size bed or Full size bed for you to choose from. You have your own large screen TV, bathroom, and wet bar area. Doing laundry is also fine. Wifi is incuded along with Netflix and HBO. You'll share the kitchen and dining room with guests staying upstairs.
We are an easy-going couple. Ray works IT for Centura Health and I am an artist, writer, and fundraising consultant.
