We are going away and would love to find a cat-loving housesitter to look after our 1-year old cat. We live in East Bristol in a semi-detached 3-bedroom house with a lovely garden. There are some gorgeous nature walks nearby - one starting in Eastville Park, which is just 2 min from our door.
The house has been newly renovated, with some decorating happening upstairs this month. This makes the upstairs space less presentable however it is a big house with the whole of downstairs to hang out in. Downstairs is a lovely airy space, an open-plan kitchen and dining area with big bifold doors and skylights at the back of the house, making it a nice place to just relax. The lounge has all the morning sun and in the evening you can light the fire in the fireplace and cosy up - or enjoy our big TV. Even though there is some work going on upstairs you would have our amazing super king size bed to enjoy. There is a large fridge-freezer, an induction hob and a new oven. The kitchen also has a dishwasher and a washing machine - both super quiet and energy efficient.
The house has two bathrooms, the upstairs one has a luxurious bath and a walk-in shower. This is an eco-house with solar panels on the roof and both toilets being fed by rainwater. We have used recycled materials and eco paints throughout.
Our little cat Ninja is just a year old and she's got a sweet and affectionate nature. She seems less fussed about food and really likes to play and cuddle up, that's why we're looking for a house-sitting arrangement rather than someone just dropping by to feed her. She loves playing fetch. At the moment she is a house cat only.
You can easily reach Bristol city centre from our place - either by cycling on the cycle path which is a green corridor straight into the heart of the city, or taking a bus - bus stop 2 min around the corner on Fishponds Road. You can walk to the nearest train station, Stapleton Road, in about 15 min and take a train to Clifton to which has the Zoo, the suspension bridge and loads of lovely cafes, shops etc. There are also nice cafes and pubs in Easton, only min walk from the house. If you're driving, no problem we have our own driveway and the street is easy enough and free to park.
