We are looking for experienced sitters to keep an eye on our property and cats in the Datça peninsula, South-West Turkey.
This is a winter sit and we would prefer if you could stay for the whole duration, or at least until the beg of Jan 2022, but this can be discussed. Since you will have your own independant bungalow (pictured), arrival and departure dates are flexible.
The property comprises a dozen of holiday rentals in a large garden with olive and orange trees. The staff and ourselves will be there on and off during the winter, so apart from the cats, your duty will be to keep an eye on the property when/if nobody is there. No work involved. If there are guests, the staff will take care of them.
You will also be responsible for feeding our many outdoor cats morning and evening, and for caring for our one house cat when we are not there. He is very special to us, very easy going but needs attention, so you will need to spend time with him and respect his routine, taking him indoor, etc. Digital nomads often working indoors would be ideal.
Our village Mesudiye is a quiet and very safe place that will appeal to nature lovers. The property is 10 min walk to the nearest beach Ovabükü which has a small grocery shop. There are daily minibus services to and from Datça town (15 km), where you will find supermarkets and all amenities. Nearest airport is Dalaman with a direct cheap shuttle to Datça.
Datça peninsula is famous for its beautiful nature and turquoise coves and the antique city of Knidos. You will appreciate the area more if you have a car or can rent one from time to time. Winter here is not very cold and usually sunny, but can also be rainy and windy at times. Your bungalow will have AC heating and good wi-fi.
We run this place with a family/friendly spirit and there will always be someone to reach out to if needed.
