I'm looking for a responsible retired/semi-retired couple to look after my two beautiful 9 year old Labrador dogs, and one rather eccentric and very vocal 13 years old cat, along with a rather quirky house and large garden, needing love and attention too.
The dogs need to be walked once a day (shortish walks of about 1-2km). Knowledge of how to look after indoor plants would also be greatly appreciated.
The duration of the stay will be approximately 2-3 months, starting from mid-January possibly earlier). I kindly request flexibility with this time frame. I will explain the circumstances necessitating my imminent departure with interested parties over / video calling, as it's sensitive in nature.
My home is situated in the suburb of Sandbaai (Sandy Bay) next to the picturesque town of Hermanus known for its land-based whale watching (not in season at the moment, sorry), and the wine region of Hemel en Aarde Valley. The beach is a mere 2 mins walk away.
Hermanus is a 120km drive from Cape Town city centre and the Cape Town International Airport is approximately 90kms (1hr 30mins drive).
My 2014 manual five door Nissan Lavina, will be available to you to go to the shops or explore the surrounding areas. The dogs also like to go for rides in the back :-).
This is a non-paying position, but a fabulous opportunity to love and look after my beautiful animals and home in lieu of free accommodation. A police clearance and a minimum of 3 references (one recent one) will be required. Thank you.
