We are looking for a trustworthy individual or couple, loving cats and experienced in taking care of a house.
Responsibilities required of the house sitter
Taking care of Lilou, Zorro and Blackberry (mommy cat and her 2 big babies) by feeding them and cleaning their litters (and their messes). Caring for them may involve giving them medicines, and contacting the vet if necessary.
Other chores include watering the house plants, checking the mailbox, occasionally shoveling the snow (we have an electric snow blower), and calling repairmen if needed.
Features of the property and location
The house is located in Oakville, Ontario, a quiet suburb of Toronto. By car, it is just a few minutes away from all amenities and Lake Ontario, and half an hour away from Toronto.
The house is a fully-detached dwelling with a finished basement. Great wi-fi. Good public transit in Oakville, plus regular GO Trains to Toronto.
Things to consider
Lilou, Zorro and Blackberry are older cats and make occasional messes. They may also require medicines or visits to the vet (located within walking distance).
Since the house is in a residential area, having a car would make life easier. However several of our previous sitters survived quite well with public transportation and walking.
