We are looking for someone to stay in the hermitage of an old chapel from 19th of July until the 1st of September near a village close to Antibes, France.
Our friend who will be living in the house on the property is very kind, discrete and respectful, it is important these traits are also present in the person interested in staying in the hermitage.
We need the housesitter to take care of two old horses and help our elderly friend who lives on the property with her two dogs and two cats mornings and evenings. Occasionally water the garden, put the rubbish out three evenings a week, help our elderly friend if needed for small chores. Handyman work would be a plus.
It's a magical, historical place 1 km from a medieval village and 3 km from the sea. Calm and peaceful with beautiful views.
In order to access the hermitage (small 2 story house attached to an old chapel), you must walk up a steep hill, it only takes a couple of minutes but it helps to be active and in shape. The cobble stones are slippery when it rains so appropriate footwear helps.
The environment is magical but very old so the person applying can’t be afraid of mice, ghosts or sleeping in an old house :-)
Due to potential COVID19 restrictions only people already in the European community need apply. We thought we had a housesitter but it fell through, this is why it's such late notice, sorry!
