For Christmas 2021 and again for the 2nd week of January 2022 my cat Twinkle is in need of companionship, lots of food, attention and someone to keep the fire on, in the northern Loire.
We live in a small hamlet quite near Bagnoles de l'Orne, in a very old house, which is comfortable but not quite 'finished' (cosmetic stuff like painting some of the plasterboard still needs doing).
You'll need to be familiar with and comfortable using woodburners and fit enough to lug wood up a flight of stairs. There are two woodburners but no central heating. I have UK TV and wifi (though not via fibre)
You will need your own transport as there is no public transport around here. Probably prefer a couple or someone who doesn't mind spending Christmas with only feline company - it's not small but it's not a big house either.
I don't leave Twinkle alone overnight so need someone to come and stay with her. She needs feeding regularly throughout the day. She stays in overnight. She's very cute and really sweet natured, though likes to play at biting and chewing hands and will claim starvation within 2 minutes of her last mouthful. (She was literally starving to death when she arrived so is, understandably, a little obsessed with food.)
The house has all amenities (apart from central heating!), including wifi, UK TV, dishwasher, etc.but takes a bit of getting used to. It's very old and generally quite fragile with a few idioscyncracies. Ideally I'd want someone to come a couple of days early to get used to things but that's tricky as there is only one bedroom (with ensuite) and a double bed on the mezzanine. So you would have to have other accommodation in the area (I can provide contacts).
From a Covid perspective, (sorry - strange times!) I would want to know where you've been and to see vaccine passport. Preferably also a very recent negative test result (I'll be visiting my old mum and need to be sure I'm safe for her).
PS Christmas tree will be provided...
