Anne,
Hi there! This is our first time seeking a house sitter, so I'm not quite sure what questions to ask, or what information to offer, but I'll tell you what seems pertinent as I am beginning this process.
We are working to arrange for a stay in Scotland for three months to spend time with family and to shop for a holiday home. The only glitch in our plan is who will take care of our kids?! We have a 3-bedroom home on just over an acre of land in a friendly and wooded neighborhood in Chapel Hill, NC. Our dog, Mischa, is 13 years old, but you would never know it- she's fit and beautiful, but a little stiff when she first gets up (um... just like me). Mischa is a 65 pound mixed-breed beauty. Our cat, Leona, is a little 7-year-old, 8-pound, black flash of a Halloween cat. She is endlessly entertaining and naughty, but full of love and chatter and makes a great lap warmer. Mischa needs at least one walk per day, the both need meals in the am and the pm and, after dinner, Mischa gets a kong, and Leona needs some playtime with da bird. Other than that, they just need to be let in and out of the back door 177 per day! ;)
Our neighborhood is a great place for walking in the rural buffer zone of Chapel Hill, NC, and there are about 60 acres of woodland behind our home with footpaths through the woods and along the creek. It's a great, spacious place to be during these days when there aren't many places to go.
Might you be interested in taking care of our home and girls?
All the best,
Tristi and Alex
