Joanna and Rosie's home in southern Oregon was a beautiful spot to be for a month. Since they have a timed drip system set up in the garden, the biggest caretaking job was harvesting the juicy strawberries and ample lettuce and peas. Birds love their backyard so each morning I was entertained by a convention of chattering fly ins.
I used the time to have my own personal quilting retreat. And had time for ample road trips along several scenic byways to get to know the geography, wildlife and history of southern Oregon. Communication was great, I knew what was expected, and the homeowners stayed in regular contact. The house was relaxing and neighborhood quiet. I'd recommend this housesit for anyone wanting to relax or explore southern Oregon.

We were privileged to house sit for Rosie and Joanna for 3 months during the summer. Their home is comfortable and in a great central location for any recreation and entertainment you could want – from hiking and fishing to music festivals and more.
Suki the cat is awesome! He has quite a personality and we quickly warmed up to each other. Although Suki did prefer Curt’s lap for his morning naps.
Rosie and Joanna are warm and welcoming, and communication was easy. They were so accommodating, they even planted vegetables so that we could have home grown fresh produce during our stay. They were helpful and supportive when we needed to take Suki to the vet for a leg injury (he is OK now), and the fridge went out. They were so concerned about us. We worked together during both issues, and it all worked out nicely.
If you get a chance to sit for them, take it. We highly recommend it.
