We'll be away for two weeks, starting April 17th - the longest we will have left our dear Lola since we adopted her last July. She's a sweet, smart 5 year old beagle/hound mix who loves to cuddle, enjoy the fresh air, and is, as a friend describes, a nose on four legs. Lola loves to explore and sniff. She's not a barker - unless she's hungry - and then it's just one statement.
We live 15 minutes from downtown Asheville, NC, in a new, large, easy to care for light filled house with 3 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, a back porch, and mountain views with gorgeous sunsets. Perhaps some organic spinach and herbs will be coming up in our raised bed garden by mid-April!
Although our subdivision has houses under construction, it's quite here. Spectrum cable, excellent wi-fi, with TVs in the living room and master bedroom.
The kitchen is a joy to work in - lots of counter space, excellent appliances - but if you don't feel like cooking, the restaurant choices are endless. Asheville is known for it's food and music choices - and has more breweries than any place in the county. This charming town offers everything you could want - hiking trails, galleries, great museums, friendly people.
I'm a retired documentary film/video editor, and my husband is a retired saleman whose passion is music. He has played percussion with jazz groups for years.
Asheville life gives us all we could hope for. Lola rounds it out for us.
