Faryn and Grady are going out of town. While we usually have a friend housesit our home, we love working with House Carers, and we're looking for someone to house sit our lovely home, with our two pets and plants. Please reach out with any questions!
Our home is a lovely retreat from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles, while still being close to the city. Nestled between the San Gabriel and Verdugo mountains, La Crescenta-Montrose is a quaint and quiet pocket of residential post-war homes and parks. Our home is a 3 bedroom, one bath home with a very comfortable enclosed backyard and attached garage.
STELLA THE DOG…. Likes: cuddling with you on the couch, laying out in the backyard, sniffing. Dislikes: other dogs, motorcycles, the postman. - Breakfast: 2 freeze-dried patties, in the jars. Crumble 2 patties and add some water so it gets a little soupy. We generally feed her around 9:00am-ish, whenever she comes back in from her morning pee/poop in the backyard is fine. - Dinner: 1 scoop of kibble from the tupperware with a couple pumps of salmon oil. We shoot for anytime between 6:30pm and 8:30pm. -Water: Refill in the morning, or whenever it looks low or not fresh. -Treats: You can feel free to give her little treats whenever! She knows how to sit or stay or lie down. • PEE AND POOP: We usually let her out for a morning pee/poop in the backyard around 8 or 9:00am-ish. But do whatever time works best for you! She loves to go outside to the backyard. She really likes hanging out and exploring back there. She can be outside as long as you’re home, but bring her in whenever you leave or if she’s barking too much. Even though she will pee/poop in the backyard, she’ll still love one or two walks a day in the hood. Sometime before breakfast and again in the late afternoon/early evening. Truly whenever is convenient for you. WALKS: -Leash is on the coat hanger hooks by the front door. Poop bags are in the dish on the credenza by the front door. There are more in the top drawer of the credenza. -Generally: she can go up to 7 hours without being let out. Good rule of thumb: if I'm gonna be gone for a while, I usually give her the opportunity to pee just before I leave. -At night: Before you go to bed, let her out in the backyard area to pee. UNA THE CAT…. Likes: sleeping on your head, using your hand as her personal massager, eating. Dislikes: Stella. • FOOD: In the cupboards on top of the stove. The hello kitty spoon, to use for scooping out her food, is on the sink ledge. - Breakfast: Whenever you wake up. 1/2 can of wet food with some water mixed in with the food. Anytime in the early morning. She’ll probably be meowing in the morning until you feed her - Dinner: Anytime before going to bed can of wet food with water mixed in. Water: Refresh when it looks low or every few days. • GENERALLY: She’ll probably sleep all day in our bedroom. Sometimes she throws up a hairball (usually on our bed). There is pet stain remover spray under the sink if you need. PLANTS: we have a few indoor plants that need watering once a week, and a couple outdoor trees + herbs that get watered every other day.
