I live in the Yucatan Peninsula near a small town called Solferino. My home is a comfortable, beautiful, spacious, 2-bedrooms, 2.5-bathrooms house with a yoga terrace and hammocks around the porch. The house stays cool and there are very few mosquitos. There is also a treehouse cabana with a bed - a perfect and cozy place for meditation and sleeping in nature. This quiet, green area is full of tropical trees and flowering plants, which attract many birds. It is an easy walk to town, where you can find markets, cafes and an orchid park with giant ancient trees. I have limited internet access (not high speed) and there is no cell service in this area but you can find fast, reliable and free wifi in the square and some coffee shops of Solferino. I provide filtered water and basic food staples such as grains, beans, spices and oil.
I need a house sitter for around three/four months to take care of my four dogs and six cats. They need loving attention and to be fed twice a day. The litter boxes should be cleaned daily. I also have house plants that require watering. All of my animals are friendly and cuddly and have been rescued from local streets.
Solferino is just a 15-minutes car ride from the ferry crossing to Holbox Island, a popular tropical tourist destination. Holbox is famous for its beautiful beaches, amazing wildlife and abundant shops, restaurants and nightlife.
To get to Solferino, you can fly into Cancun and take a 2-hours shuttle to Solferino. I kindly ask you to come one week ahead of my departure to get familiar with the house and animal care.
