Hi - We are looking for a couple to house sit and look after Misty - our 13 year old golden retriever for about 9 or 10 days of the house sit. She is pretty laid back these days and enjoys a daily walk of about minutes on fairly flat ground. She has some medication that she takes with her morning food. She is a west coast dog living a west coast life and you can check her out on Instagram - Misty_Muth..."Just a west coast pup living my best life". She's the best!
The reason why it would only be for about 9-10 days is that our son and fiancé, who live in Calgary, will be coming out to pick up some stuff from the house and will be taking Misty back with them until their wedding on September 7! So there would be one day when they would arrive at the house while you are there to collect Misty and belongings
We have a big yard and garden so yard work includes mowing the lawn, edging the borders and tending the garden. We do have automatic sprinklers which would be set but there would still be some hand watering of pots and baskets. While you can help yourself to whatever is productive in the garden I would appreciate if you pick berries and freeze them for me so I can make jam upon my return.
I keep a clean house so would ask that the house be cleaned and left as you found it upon your departure.
We live in 1959 bungalow that has been fully renovated over the years. You would be staying in the guest bedroom downstairs that has a queen bed. There is a full bathroom downstairs as well. Our yard has views of the ocean and there is a nice relaxing patio and deck where you can enjoy the view. We live close to the beach (about a ten minute walk) and we also live close to Mt. Doug Park (5 minute car ride) which is great for hiking. We are close to the bus stop and close to the University of Victoria.
"We" are Tessa - a retired BC government public servant and Mark, a retired police officer. We are going on our sailboat to Desolation Sound for most of the summer. If this sounds like a good house (and partial dog sit) for you, I look forward to hearing from you!
