Hi - We are looking for a couple to house sit and look after Misty - our 11 year old golden retriever. She is pretty laid back these days and enjoys a daily walk of about minutes on fairly flat ground. She has some medication that she takes with her morning food. She is a west coast dog living a west coast life and you can check her out on Instagram - Misty_Muth..."Just a west coast pup living my best life". She's the best!
We are also looking for someone to care for our yard and garden. Duties including mowing and edging the front and back lawns. They are on automatic sprinklers so that makes it easier! We also have a fairly large vegetable garden including raspberries and blueberries. You would have available all the fresh produce (e.g. lettuce, spinach, carrots, peas, beans, zucchini, scallopini, tomatoe, cucumbers, and herbs) as they are available during this time. I would ask that the house sitters pick and freeze some of the raspberries and blueberries so I can make jam when I return!
We live in 1959 bungalow that has been fully renovated over the years. You would be staying in the guest bedroom downstairs that has a queen bed. There is a full bathroom downstairs as well. Our yard has views of the ocean and there is a nice relaxing patio and deck where you can enjoy the views. We live close to the beach (about a ten minute walk) and we also live close to Mt. Doug Park (5 minute car ride) which is great for hiking. We are close to the bus stop and close to the University of Victoria.
"We" are Tessa - a retired BC government public servant and Mark, a retired police officer. We will be sailing on our sailboat to the Central Coast for about 6 weeks this summer from July 1-August 15 so we are looking for someone to look after Misty, our house and our garden and yard.
